The TriStar is Morningstar's newest and most advanced product and is capable of handling solar arrays up to 4kW

• The controller is a three-function controller that provides reliable solar battery charging, load control or diversion regulation
• Uses advanced technology and automated production to provide exciting new features at a competitive cost

This controller operates in only one of these modes at a time but two or more controllers may be used to provide multiple functions.

The digital meter option displays self-test results, system information and controller setpoints. Remote temperature sensor option rated from -30?C (-22?F) to +80?C (+176?F). White power-coated steel, indoor rated, vertical mounting enclosure. UL listed. Five-year warranty.

• The TriStar's code allowable wire size is larger (2 AWG/35mm2) and has more wire bending room. 
• Similar controllers allowable wire size is only 6 AWG (16mm2) and have very little wire bending room.
• The TriStar's printed circuit board is conformally coated for protection against humidity and nesting insects - ideal for tropical and marine environments. Similar controllers do not have this protection.
• The TriStar comes standard with an RS-232 comm port for custom setpoints, data loggong and remote monitoring. Similar controllers do not have an RS-232.
