OutBack MX60 MPPT Charge Controller

The Outback MX60 Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) charge controller enables your PV system to achieve its highest possible performance. The MPPT feature can give you up to 30% more power from your PV Panels!

Rated for up to 60 amps of DC output current. the OutBack MX60 can be used with battery systems from 12 to 60 vdc with a PV open circuit voltage as high as 140 voc. The MX60's setpoints are fully adjustable to allow use with virtually any battery type. chemistry. and charging profile.

The OutBack MX60 allows you to use a higher output voltage PV array with a lower battery voltage - such as charging a 24 vdc battery with a 48 vdc PV array. This reduces wire size and power loss from the PV array to the battery location while maximizing the performance of you system and saving you money!

The OutBack MX60 comes standard with an easy to use and understand display. The four line. 80 character. backlit LCD display is used for programming and monitoring of the system's operation including built-in Data Logging with 64 days of memory.

Best controller I\'ve been able to find. Been using mine for 2 years charging a 12v bank from a 48v array. Biggest problem I have is the ReBulk setting (voltage that must be reached before a bulk charge is reinitiated) can only be set in 1 volt increments - I would prefer 0.1v increments. The reasoning here is the 13v setting obviously forces a bulk charge every morning. The next available step is 12v (which translates to approximately a 40% charge) is too low. Battery freezing becomes an issue (about 5F at 40%) and I don\'t like discharging that deep. 70% is my preferred depth so a 12.4v setpoint would be reasonable but it can\'t be done. If your bank voltage is higher, this becomes less of an issue. The 150v limit is a minor problem, 250 would be nice, but I can live with it.

This charge controller will allow one to get every last watt (or amp, whichever way you choose to look at it ) from your solor panels. This controller is the best thing I could ever recomend for any system.
