The bigger brother to the 100, the Whisper 200 features a 10 ft (3.1m) rotor diameter and an 80 sq. ft. swept area that provides the user with greater output at low wind speed averages. The Whisper 200 wind generator has twice the swept blade area, providing double the potential energy as compared to the 100. The 200 also incorporates a permanent magnet alternator powered with an advanced airfoil, thus capturing the most energy in its class as compared to other competitive wind turbines.
Formerly the Whisper H80, the Whisper 200 has been updated for 2005 with new features and added flexibility for your renewable energy system. Now, any Whisper 200 can have its voltage changed, 12-48V DC, within a few minutes in the field. The Whisper 200 is designed to operate in a site with low to medium speed averages of 8 mph, 3.6 m/s, and greater. The 200 provides 200+ kWh per month, 3.4 kWh per day, in a 12 mph average wind. Included with every whisper is our new Whisper Controller. Unlike many of our competitors, the Whisper controller includes a diversion load to ensure quiet safe operation of your wind turbine when the batteries are charged.
It installs in minutes and it protects both your wind turbine and battery. The Whisper controller fits easily inside your battery room. Add the optional LCD display and you will instantly receive real time data on the performance of your Whisper 200 wind generator. The display can be mounted on the controller or a 1000 (300 meters) away letting you know what is happening. You can even add an anemometer to your controller and now you can measure wind speed and compare it to the output to make sure you are getting the most from your Whisper 200.The Whisper 200 is designed for even the novice. The Whisper can be installed in just a few hours with no welding, no concrete or cranes. Our engineers designed the work out of installing wind turbines. Now wind is as easy to use as photovoltaics.

Patented Angle-Governor - Exclusive to the Whisper, the side-furling Angle-Governor protects the turbine in high winds by turning the alternator and blades out of the wind, reducing turbine exposure. Unlike other wind turbines that lose as much as 80% of their output when furled, the Angle-Governor allows the Whisper to achieve maximum output in any wind.
